another oportunity for ferrari to screw the pooch in front of the ever reasonable tiffosi :p
(i am looking forward to seeing them race that track tho)
in unrelated news....tomorow is going to be very wet at the redbull ring...wet enough that they might cancel qualifying and go with the results of fp2
possibly...im hoping they just go for it...rain qualifying makes for interesting starting grids

I hope it rains just enough to make qualifying “interesting” without washing it out.

Hopefully Ricciardo is actually OK and his car too. Vettel should probably fake a cold and watch from the stands at this point

I am actually quite upset by this. Mugello is a magnificient track for MotoGP, but I am very worried that the F1 cars are going to create braking bumps at the fastest track on the MotoGP calendar.

I bet not a single Ferrari fan shows up for the race.

create braking bumps
What is this? I can’t say I’ve heard it before, but I am guessing the shear force of braking that F1 cars make pushes the pavement a little bit each time which adds up over many passes and makes a small but noticeable bump in the surface

As an American who used to watch the NFL, I have little trust in sports medics.

Me too. It’s not like a football game, where the crowd makes a difference. Although it is fun to hear those nutty Dutch fans cheer every time Verstappen comes around the corner.

Exactly. MotoGP riders have been very vocal about this in recent years where the two series race at the same tracks. COTA, Silverstone, & Spielberg have these issues.

It is indeed the shear force on the pavement from braking an F1 car at ~3 or 4G but it creates a washboard surface rather than just one bump, which, as you can imagine, isn’t kind to the bikes.
